MICHAELA SCHMIDLIN

As the daughter of a real estate attorney and developer, growing up in South Carolina, Michaela spent many a weekend touring construction sites, watching architectural plans come to life and family homes unfold. This was her (and her Dad’s) idea of a good time (still is).

Like many who relocate to Asheville, Michaela was drawn to the area for its natural beauty and vibrant culture. As a resident for over a decade, and a local Realtor for the past 4 years, Michaela understands what it takes to truly be a local real estate expert. It's not just about knowing the inventory and interpreting market data; it's about having a deep appreciation and understanding of our community and its residents and forging lasting relationships.

Throughout her career Michaela has managed teams and outcomes, from strategy to completion, meeting goals on time and on budget, with consistent communication and attention to detail. She holds a Master’s degree in Project Management and has a professional background in Marketing and Hospitality, most recently at Biltmore, America’s Largest Home. Establishing personal connections and delivering exemplary service is second nature.

Michaela’s real estate journey began in New York City brokering luxury apartment rentals during the great recession. As she navigated new terrain in North Carolina, she partnered with a team to expedite her local education and build relationships. Michaela loves being in a position to assist her clients in cultivating their ideal lifestyle; her process always starts with empathetic listening and building trust. Most recently, she’s partnered with Panashe and Compass to elevate her service level and industry connections. Compass Concierge, for example, covers upfront costs associated with listing preparation and home improvements and is an extraordinary resource she can offer her clients.

Michaela currently resides in the Montford Historic District with her husband and two small children where they’ve lovingly restored their 1919 home. When she’s not showing homes, she can be found exploring local parks and trails, playing pickleball, dining out, or vacationing in Sanibel with her family.
